sqlcommand - FINDING SPACES with charindex in sql command crystal reports -

I have this code to find a location in sql command and return it with crystal reports in the database field, But the return of the chirundex keeps the zero

  select aliasing, why are you saying as a space from the chardix (allegiance, '1) elements?)  

What are you saying? This should be the opposite order:

SELECT ALLEGATION, CHARINDEX ('', Elevation, 1) Location from AS aliasing
