bioinformatics - segmentation fault with SIFT -

The division I'm trying to understand that I tried to use Saifti dispute getting why.

I am using the test fata file, and the option file they provide. I am using a Swissport database which I can successfully blast on my system.

When you try to use SIFT I get:

  arron @ arron-ideapad- Z570 ~ / PhD / program / sift4.0.3b $ bin / SIFT_for_submitting_fasta_seq.csh test / lacI.fasta db / swissprot.fa test / lacI.subst 2.75 tail lacI.fasta query / Home / Arron / PhD / program / sift4 .0.3b / tmp / lacI.fasta.query query length 360 recorded was read_psiblastuntillat segmentation fault tell me that I have information not open I_seqs fawegwa file /home/arron/Phd/programs/sift4.0.3b/tmp/lacI.alignedfasta registered / home / arron / Phd / programs / sift4. 0.3b / tmp / lacI.SIFTprediction

I have some Trying to find the source code for the last two hours where the error is handled, but I am unsuccessful whether anyone has any experience with the SIFT segmentation fault, or I am able to point to the source code So that I can see what is going wrong?

Thank you very much.

Is there any reason that you are using an old version of SIFT? I think that the latest version 5.2.1 is where you see using 4.0.3b

My guess is that you're using the new version of Blast older version of the Saifti Is not compatible with.

Fast says the release notes for 5.2:

Saifti 5.2.0 is compatible with later versions of BLAST to update the address (2.2. 28+)

So I suggest either using a new version of SIFT or an earlier version of the explosion and see which fixes things.
