Text Recognition and Matching in Excel -


I'm trying to get Excel to search through a list (column A) and matches in column B I'm listing How often the item is displayed in column A. Example: I have a list of people who input their favorite foods into columns. Ideally, I should know that the listing is new (not duplicate) and listed in column B. If the pizza is typed in column A, it will automatically be listed in column B. and the next time it was listed, it will only add to the count, the count can be in column C. It does not make any difference. I understand that I can use the "CountIfs" function, but then I have to list all the food items and every time a person needs to update in the list which was not already in the list.

Maybe I do not understand it clearly, but whatever you want in column B Is not it in the input, read the contents from the sheet and sheet 2, and run a macro for column B?
